Frequently asked questions

-
Is my data sent to any server?
No. All comment data is fetched directly from Google's API in your browser and processed locally. Nothing is sent to any third-party server.
-
Which Google Docs are supported?
Any Google Docs document you have access to. The extension uses your Google account to fetch comments via the official Drive API.
-
Can I export comments from shared documents?
Yes, as long as you have at least reader access to the document and the comments are visible to you.
-
What does the Markdown export look like?
Each comment thread is a section with author, timestamp, resolved status, quoted text, and the full comment body. Replies are nested below their parent comment.
